The Calectro UG8-E-230 is an optical duct smoke detector with a service alarm and built-in control unit, 230V. Free rotation in any direction.<\/p>\n
The UG8 Uniguard<\/b><\/span> is designed to detect smoke in ventilation ducts and consists of a smoke detector and a specially designed duct housing that ensures optimal airflow past the detector.<\/p>\n The UG8<\/b><\/span> can be mounted on either side of the duct. The smoke sensor is supplied with a rotatable mounting section that, together with a chosen Venturi tube, is attached to the ventilation duct. Thanks to the applied \u201cFLOW arrow\u201d<\/b><\/span> correct installation is simple: the arrow must correspond with the direction of airflow in the duct.<\/p>\n The patented detector housing \u2013 with cable entries and a reset button \u2013 is rotatable in any desired direction, so it always fits the characteristics of the installation site. Both the cover of the detector chamber and of the connection compartment are equipped with a quick-lock for fast access.<\/p>\n \u2022 Two alarm relays to, for example, control fire dampers or to start\/stop fans<\/p>\n \u2022 A service relay<\/b><\/span> and a low-airflow relay<\/b><\/span> that indicate when maintenance is required to prevent false alarms, or when the airflow in the duct is insufficient or the UG8 is incorrectly positioned<\/p>\n \u2022 A system fault relay<\/b><\/span> that reports faults in the smoke detection circuit<\/p>\n The detector features an intelligent monitoring system that continuously checks and adjusts sensitivity for optimal operation throughout its service life. When the detector can no longer compensate for contamination and approaches a false alarm threshold, a service alarm is generated.<\/p>\n Thanks to the bayonet mounting<\/b><\/span> the detector is easy to install and remove. In the event of a system fault, for example if a detector is removed, a yellow LED on the circuit board flashes and the system fault relay is deactivated.
