Description
Motion Sensor with ON/OFF delay. For ceiling mounting, 360° coverage area.
Description PIR-TF-25-360
Celectro’s motion sensors are primarily designed for use within ventilation and lighting control.
By detecting activity in rooms, it is possible to control ventilation and lighting only when it is truly necessary, thereby saving energy.
The PIR-TF-25-360 motion Sensor is a highly reliable dual-element detector. The Sensor is housed in an elegant
white casing. The lens has a detection range of 360° to reliably ensure motion detection. The ON and OFF delays can be selected by means of jumpers.
Installation
Sensor placement:
Place the Sensor so that the likely direction of movement of a person crosses the detection zones. It is easiest for the PIR-TFT Sensor to distinguish movement in this direction. Avoid potential sources of false alarms such as: direct sunlight, strong heat sources (radiators, copiers, etc.), moving objects like fans or pets within the Sensor’s field of view. Avoid objects that could block the detection area, e.g., large furniture, curtains, etc.
Installation:
1. Open the front cover by loosening the securing screw. Remove the circuit board from the bottom of the housing.
2. Select wall, corner, or ceiling mounting. Then press out the appropriate “knock-outs” for the screws and mount the bottom of the housing.
3. Replace the circuit board and connect the wires.
4. Be sure to seal all unused cable entries and screw holes to prevent false alarms caused by insects, etc.
5. Replace the front cover; the walk test can then proceed.
6. NB: Before changing the delay settings, switch off the detector’s power supply.
Walk test:
First ensure the delay jumpers are set to position “A” (shortest delay). Turn on the power and wait approximately 45 seconds for the Sensor to warm up. Now perform the walk test by slowly walking through the entire detection area; pass all detection zones while observing the walk test LED. The LED should light up each time you move from one zone to another. Allow the device to stabilize for about 2 seconds between each test.
