What is a SIL classification

SIL (Safety Integrity Level)

This is a classification system used to assess and ensure the Safety of systems. It is based on the probability of a dangerous failure and the severity of the potential consequences. This system is commonly used in the process industry and other sectors where Safety is of vital importance.

Explosion Safety refers to the measures taken to prevent or limit explosions. This is particularly important in situations where flammable substances are present. Climate control systems, for example, may be exposed to flammable gases or vapors, making explosion Safety highly important.

The SIL classification can be used to assess and improve the explosion Safety of climate control systems. By identifying risks and taking appropriate measures, the SIL classification can contribute to a safer working environment and the protection of human lives and property.

Betec Controls BV supplies, among others, products from Seikom and Schischek that comply with these standards.
