Description
Duct Smoke Detector | UG8-O
Optical duct smoke detector | UG8-O with automatic sensitivity adjustment and service alarm, for connection to an external control unit. For use in ventilation ducts. Free rotation in any direction.
Description
The UG8 Uniguard is designed for detecting smoke in ventilation ducts and consists of a smoke detector and duct housing system, specially designed to ensure optimal airflow through the detector.
The UG8 can be mounted on either side of the duct. The UG8 includes a rotatable section that can be mounted to the ventilation duct together with the selected Venturi tube. It also features a “FLOW” arrow for easy installation in the correct direction of airflow. The direction of the arrow must correspond to the direction of airflow in the duct.
The detector housing, for which a patent has been applied, has cable entries and can be rotated in any direction depending on the constraints of the installation site. Both the detector housing and the connection covers feature snap locks for quick access.
The EVC-PY-DA smoke detector includes an intelligent monitoring circuit that continuously checks and adjusts sensitivity to maintain optimal performance throughout its service life. When the detector can no longer compensate for contamination and a false alarm becomes likely, a service alarm is triggered.
The detector is fitted with a bayonet fitting, allowing easy installation and removal.
The UG8 is compatible with Calectro ST280 and ST580 Venturi tubes, as well as the ST-EXTEND extension tube.
